“The addiction of power is the most dangerous addiction”, this statement is so true and relatable to World War Ⅱ because this war occurred with the aim of conquer-ism of the world and every country included in the war wants to implement their principles worldwide. Power, imperialism, enforcement, expansionism, and political domination are some major rationales that let World War begin. This devastating war was fought between Axis power {Germany, Italy, Japan} and Allied power {France, Britain, the United States of America, Soviet Union} during the years 1939-1945. Owning to this war, more than 50 million people lost their lives which including soldiers as well as civilians.

This war printed several salient impacts on the world because this war is not usual and so casual that people can ignore it, the war changed the mindset of powerful nations by taking some peaceful decisions because no one can afford such a destructive war anymore. To see how this war changed the world, we will first suggest the peaceful decision {United Nations} and secondly the economical fluctuations which were then settled down by IMF and World Bank.

The foundation of United Nations has proven the underpinning peaceful climate. After world war Ⅱ, the representatives and intellectuals of 50 countries gathered together and negotiate on the formation of peace worldwide. Then, they decide to form an organization {UN} which adequate the peaceful environment all around the world. And finally, the United Nations was officially founded on 24 October 1945.

Now, after its foundation the United Nations has achieved and worked on many goals in last the 50 years, some of which are listed below:

i. More than 150 regional conflicts have been settled by peaceful negotiations.
ii. More than 500 international treaties have been signed in several aspects i.e: environmental protection, human rights, disarmament, etc.
iii. UN had played a vital role in ending colonialism, apartheid, and imperialism in South Africa.

Moreover, in the recent pandemic situation, United Nations has launched $2 billion funds for the sake of the poorest countries. This one is the most recent and updated achievement that the United Nations have acquired. All of these goals of the UN are showing that this organization not only serves in peace mobilization but also in achieving international cooperation, harmonizing the actions of a state, and stabilizing the states. It’s a truth that World War Ⅱ had taken many lives so brutally but in contrast with this, it has given us The United Nations.

Which let become the reason for peace in all around the globe. This organization has enlightened the world with peace after such a horrible event {World War Ⅱ}, which is a magnificent revolution or change that the world can experience. Secondly, we will see the changes in the economical sector occur due to World War Ⅱ.

It is obvious that an event that took 50 million people’s lives can also imprint a massive change in the economy all around the world.

After the war, a huge economic crisis was experienced, some of few reasons for this crisis are:
i. Destruction of large physical capitals.
ii. Many individuals have left their properties and business setups due to the migration to new towns.
iii. This war let many countries alter their economic and political system which create difficulties for many traders to restart their businesses.

All such factors have drastically produced a massive economic crisis all around the world, especially in under developing countries. So after the war, when the questions arise regarded to peace there will another concern relating to the economy arises. That’s why the delegates of more than 40 nations sit in a convention {known as Bretton Wood Conference} and start negotiating for the recovery of the economic establishment. Subsequently, World Bank and IMF {International Monetary Fund} was founded. The primary motive of these two organizations is to provide financial assistant and lend loans to the countries for sustaining their economy.

Contributions of World Bank just after WW Ⅱ:

World Bank had provided the loan to France and other European countries.
The bank had also facilitated developing countries with the loans.
Contributions of IMF just after WW Ⅱ:
IMF had made sure the economic stability of the countries by the international monetary system.
IMF had also assisted to expand their trade to the countries which have lost almost lost their economic setup.

Ongoing Projects of WB and IMF:

WB is working and motivating the governments to prevent the climate change.
WB is putting all efforts to bring an end to AIDS.
WB is managing the international financial crisis and promoting open trades.
WB and IMF both are doing broad analyses on the economic conditions of countries and giving valid bits of advice so that countries can handle their economic stability.
IMF and WB have been arranged many funds in the pandemic situation.
From its foundation, IMF is still working in economic and finance surveillance by regularly monitoring different development aspects.

IMF is promoting the exchange rate stability and also serves in handling the trade disputes.
This event had shocked the world due to its horrible impacts and consequence. All such parameters of World War Ⅱ are not ignorable but afterward, this war has let the world make some important decisions, few of which are described above already.

If such an event wouldn’t happen in past then we will not able to make such useful decisions in response to which we have got UN, IMF, and World Bank as a present. Likewise, we have to learn and explore every event of life even considering what sort of impact it possesses and try to initiate some decision which that event make us spot it and work on it.
