Exactly when did you experience something truly spectacular for the last time and then decided to cherish the moment instead of clicking a selfie or taking a picture? Just think about it. Thanks to our smartphones, actually they are really not that smart, believe me. We now have a camera at our disposal permanently, which not only allows us to capture and frame rapture themes up but also to share them instantly with our friends and family online. This has become an addiction to the same kind particularly for us, the youth. We only want everything to be posted online whether it’s our pet’s birthday or a bad test score. We have to tweet about it every time we see something interesting. Therefore, for our own good, we all need to detach ourselves from over dependence and possession of the online environment. Being socially involved is not some kind of crime, but then going out to enjoy with one’s friend and posing for hours absolutely born as a human being has to get the perfect show picture.

We are so connected to our smartphones that we forget what really matters, the world and the people around us.

And how can we forget Tik Tok?

In making the Tik Tok videos, individuals pointlessly wasted their tonnes of energy.
Most of us are happy that Tik Tok is banned in our country for any other explanation, yet it indicated a ray of hope that the youth can now get rid of this addiction.
But, as we all know social media is a sort of trap from which it’s hard to come out. Therefore, our youth are now engaged in making Instagram reels. While making these short videos, our youth are so hooked that they have now begun to focus on their looks and style rather than their school assignments. There was a time when parents used to scold us for playing for too long, but kids get scolded these days for wasting a lot of time making these videos and not doing any physical work.

Did you play basketball or soccer when you were 16 or 17, or did you spend your time in the gym? Hope your response will be to play exciting sports but these days teenage boys spend their time in the gym and teenage girls are engaged in doing makeup. Isn’t it weird? Unfortunately, in the hope of becoming famous, these kids are losing their childhood. With the support of social media, it’s good to highlight your talent, but doing crazy stuff to become famous is very horrific. Just don’t waste your time doing dumb things like that.
You probably know that when we have more likes we get more dopamine. And getting addicted to likes and comments is very easy. You have several Facebook companions, however, they are not turning up when you’re feeling bad. At the end of the day, likes on our posts and the followers on the social networking sites would not matter. Real friends are the ones we need at the end of the day, not the virtual ones.

Only try 24 hours of unplugging yourself from your smartphone and see the change. The world could be much more beautiful, all you have to do is watch and learn. Everything has both positive and negative aspects. To determine what is right for you, you just have to use your brain. Only follow your instinct.
