The invention that changed the world is of light .light was invented by Thomas Edison. Thomas wanted to replace the gaslight with a mild , safe and inexpensive electric light. Edison invented light bulb in 1879 and to this day the light bulb is still just as useful if not more so. When the light bulb was first invented it’s main function was to light the houses of millions and to light workplaces for millions more making work less stressful on workers eyes.
The light bulb has served many purposes and also had many effects on the world, probably more than any other invention.
As people worked more they gained more money and there business grew. And this also lead manufacturers to generate a large amount of products.
Importance of light bulb :-
The electric light bulb has been called the most important invention since man made fire. Without the light bulb there would be no nightlife.
A light bulb produces light from electricity .They are a source of a artificial light. They are used in outdoor advertisements especially at night. Early people used candles and oil lamps for light.
There are different types of bulb such as compact fluorescent lamp, incandescent light etc. Light is a important source or need in our life. God have created the world but now it is our chance or work to make it beautiful and advanced.
So light have made our world advance. Lights are used by thousands of people in the world not only poor people all the rich people also. Because it is one kind of need that all people require. God have have us brain then it is our choice how to use it .so Thomas Edison used it to help people and to make world advance. Now we all are using it enjoying are life with happiness and lots of fun. Light bulb is one of the best invention ever.
Who was Thomas Edison?
Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor scientist and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influence the world and the life around the world including the phonograph the motion picture camera and a long lasting practical electric lightbulb .
Now the light bulb is used in almost grocery store, shopping mall, park, library, business office, houses, theatres etc.
The light bulb is a part of our everyday life. The fact that without Thomas extreme dedication and hard labour we might still be forced to stop most all activity at sundown and before sunrise.
What will happen without light?
Without light we will be blinded. The light has an energy that can make a human eye see. Also there will be no gravitational pull because of no photosynthesis as there is no light.

At the very beginning of his experiments with the incandescent lamp in 1879 he said “we are striking it big in electric light better than my vivid imagination first conceived.
How would life be if the light bulb was never invented ?
If light bulbs had not been invented and subsequently developed by those such as Westinghouse, Edison, swan etc. And theoreticians like Maxwell there would be no incentive to develop commercial use of electricity . As a result we probably be at least 50 yrs behind in electrical and electronics.
Social events such as parties and meetings could also take place in evening. Things that were not able to perform or complete by lantern or candle after long hard work it could be.
For one the light bulb allowed people to work longer days which made them more money. They also could go home late and have their meal or do any left over business work. Inside their homes, it was as if the sun was not even down and gone yet. This was a new feeling and a new concept to people from that era.
