Writing short stories is a great passion which one would like to pursue as a career option. Simply spending time, sitting for hours in stringing together words on the page and to encourage oneself in writing short stories is highly boast off. Thus one may want to be an author. When we were small at the elementary school level, our teachers used to narrate stories to us. One can remember most of them but feared that would forget many among those sooner or later. Thus going home straight and exercise ones writing ability can nurture this habit. Innumerous mistakes have been done at early stages, mother came to the scene and encouraged the child to practice writing. She appreciated the writing ability and may have suggest with her appropriate instruction. She reads to us newspapers (both regional and English languages), popular books, while we observed her. Slowly and naturally it likes to as if we were gifted with many new ideas of creating stories of ones own. It turned out to be a hobby.
Father also sometimes read from children’s books, magazines which they particularly liked. He reads aloud as he started believing the child was showing enthusiasm for such activity. Hobby is a part which we generally carryout during our leisure; but spending hours in writing is something interesting and amusing rather than watching television or playing video games is surely turned out to be a gem of wonder. Only at six to seven years of age one begin knowing fantasy or fairytale. Later, through parents and seniors timely nurturing and through teacher’s attention, one received significant scope of reading books of truly prolific writers. We can come across many books such as, Spycat , Pyramids in Paris, My secret team, Our colourful world and so on.
Visiting numerous libraries and moreover visiting to the kids section can double up the enthusiasm. The children were bound to be excted promised to pay frequent visit to other libraries. Slowly they grew up and their taste and preferences started changing. Start to note down which stories is really enjoyed by them and even noted down ones personal thoughts. Enjoying reading fictional stories, specially more of Agatha Christie can uplift their vision of looking into things. In the school magazine one should willingly submit piece of work for which one would be praised and appreciated by teachers. Now nearly at 13 children should have read stories by Charles Dickens, Anton Checkhov, The adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and even James Palterson who wrote crime novel series. Mystery and imagination of classic story writer reigning between 1832 and 1849 is Edgar Altan Poe who marked the century’s short story creation. By knowing a great deal about the world, nature, about things happening around us, imagination, fiction, and events, one would be able to remove all sort of ignorance if present in their writing where they can make their writing powerful and earn fame. Writing is an art but fostered by reading stories of various generations.
If you being a voracious reader, reading books of many authors, we have to say about the genious , “The Shelley of Bengal” Rabindranath Tagore who was universalistic. Hobby has a broad outlook which leads a path a healthy blend of realistic and idealistic job.
It is often seen when people are engaged in their respective jobs frequently they are dissatisfied. Somebody left voluntarily unemployed. Some works against their desires only to seek livelihood or to look after their families. They are entrusted with tasks which may not enrich their soul or lead to job satisfaction.
It is utmost necessary to connect or to built an association between choice and implementation. If one can successfully execute ones hobby to ones career, earning it would be a play and no work. As Mark Twain often says, we should devote our hundred percent into it with devotion and high spirit.
Tagore was a home learner as we all know but he could able to express his uncountable works of songs, poetry, short stories and novels from a early childhood. At the age of fifteen he wrote Vanusingher Padabali. The depth of his knowledge, the conscience led him to won even the Noble Prize.
To be genius we have to enhance our skill. No shortcuts but endurable hardships with perfect strategy would be the prior requirement.
One would sincerely want that that the writing would reach large number of people and have deep impact on their mind. Few of such work should include the real picture of the poor class and how to uplift them in the society. The piece of work should educate the general mass and would create awareness in contemporary society would be my target, as I will write in simple language.
Now the question of choosing short stories and not novels is an another thought. Today life of the people became very busy. Technology occupies their most of the time. Television, mobile phones basically left them with no time to read even newspapers. Therefore the option to choose short story is a perfect choice in a sense that it would comprises of zeal, humor, positivity and more.
If one would like to surely entertain their readers then sometimes the evils of society should be exposed in a humorous way where pleasure and instruction would play their role side by side.
Sometimes at early stage and in small ages stories lacks proper structure and plot. It appears loose and scattered .May be the expression is to denote something but it appears dull.
Authors feel remorse. Elder always is a constant source of inspiration who tells that writing skill never develops in a day. If one would seriously choose it for a dream job they would have to be committed .It is a viable career. But at the same time one must need strong writing skills to stand out among countless aspiring authors. To do that one would have to educate oneself with rich vocabulary. One should not be a author at heart. One would have to focus on good writing both with classical and modern touch which will generate an exotic terms that connects beyond boundary.
To be an author the first thing required to do is to create a positive mindset. one can say you greedy as the wish lies in publishing huge volume of literary work.
Being an author one should want to be self employed where he can work with a degree. Beside college degree one would go through internship. At small age one can gain experiences through blogging.
Satyajit Roy whom we know as a filmmaker, was a person who wrote several short stories. He is well known for his contribution to Bengali Literature. Young readers are attracted to his two famous creation Feluda and Professor Shanku.
Another person named Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhay is an example of his great literary works named Pather Panchali. It was made into a film by satyajit Roy which won Oscar award. Besides Alo, Nishipadma, Chander Pahar were made into film and received acclaim and critical attention.
Nowadays, people are generally fond of seeing short films. So hope for such works which would reach worldwide appreciation and turn out to be the best ever short film. Short story will lead to a screen adaptation. One more wish lies in the fact is to captivate reader and one can become the bestselling Author.
One can start purchasing The Author Training Manual which guides in developing idea and outlooks. In Kolkata IIM skills is the best learning center where one would attend the training course to master oneself in writing. There are institutes like, ECT a recognized writing training institute by the Government of India, but it is only a guideline. Always encourage yourself to read books of J.K. Rowling, Ruskin Bond which has every aspect of quality building asset hidden inside it.
Work activities would likely to include the aspect of job prospects. There one would have to follow certain guidelines. The individual piece should contain technical skill and innovative research work. The task of editing, revising and reviewing work includes searching of publishers, script editors for the submission of written work.
A good mentor who would maintain a good deal of knowledge should be accounted for. One should adopt a fix working hours with a disciplinary approach. If dream job is to be an author it gives the freedom of self expression.
As in childhood one should develop, improves logical skills, imaginations and critical thinking abilities. It is a gift the hobby is writing. So whenever in the busy schedule one get some time to spare, one should read good books. It makes one relax and reduce stress. Hobby is a companion, on whom one depends on any time one need. It gives pleasure and creative thoughts which is put it writing.
As we grow we get involved more with the passion not just as a hobby but would be the art of the dream job for the entire life.
In today’s world we are paid for the job which we perform. Key is money; but the aim of earning money would be the second option. We know we would fail several attempts but still goal is to confront this difficult and tedious job with gesture not to be paid but to be known to the world.
Communication will broaden and can change the sick society which is still covered with superstitions and ignorance. If only one can be truthful to oneself to practice hobby with the determination to reach the dream job.

Reading and writing widen the horizon of one’s knowledge. In pursuing a hobby one enjoys the process of learning through doing. Through writing, it is only of getting fame and appreciation from the readers but imparting valuable pieces of information to the present generation. The readers not only gain valuable talks from the writing they read but also get assistance from those writings and could enhance their writing skills which leads them to become great scholars in life. These are the actual reasons which attracted the readers more in this profession. A writer is the one who expresses his or her views to the outer world to listen, but not the writer but his views are attracted by the readers which gain him the fame. The information that the writing contains especially fascinate and draws the attention of the readers towards that novel or book and indirectly to the writer also. This is how the reader gets attracted towards the writer and his writing and that makes the reader writer chemistry.
