MATT GROENING: THE CREATOR OF THE SIMPSONS
Matt Groening is the creator of the famous show The Simpsons. He was born on 15th of February 1954. He is an American animator, writer, producer and cartoonist. Apart from The Simpsons, Matt Groening is also famous for his comic strip ‘life in hell’ and is also known for tv series like “Futurama” and “Disenchantment”.

The Simpsons has a number of funny characters; some of the famous ones are –
HOMER SIMPSON- Full name Homer Jay Simpson, his age is 39. A father to 3 kids Bart, Lisa and Maggie. In the show he works as a nuclear safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Some of the words which define him are immature, lazy, unprofessional, ignorant despite all this Mr. Homer is a good man at heart. The character of Homer Simpson is voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
MARGE SIMPSON- Full name Marjorie Jacqueline Simpson. She is the wife of Homer Simpson and Mother of Bart, Maggie and Lisa. She is the moralistic force in her family and always try to maintain order in family. Marge is also famous for her blue color beehive hairstyle.
Her age is 36 and by profession she is a housewife. The character of Marge Simpson is voiced by Julie Kavner.

BART SIMPSON – Full name Bartholomew JoJo Simpson. He is 10 years old and is a student. He is in 4th grade at Springfield Elementary School. He is son of Homer Simpson and Marge Simpson and is also the eldest among his siblings. Some of the words that describe Brat as a person are mischievous and rebellious. The character of Brat Simpson is voiced by Nancy Cartwright.
LISA SIMPSON- Full name Lisa Marie Simpson. She is 8 years old and is a student at Springfield Elementary School. Apart from being a student she is also the hall monitor, babysitter and a CTU agent. She is the second child of Homer Simpson and Marge Simpson. She is also considered as the most accomplished person in Simpson family. The character of Lisa Simpson is voiced by Yeardley Smith.
MAGGIE SIMPSON- Full name Margaret Evelyn Simpson. She is 1 year old and is the youngest child of Homer Simpson and Marge Simpson. In the show she is seen sucking her pacifier and she often falls on her face because of her clothing. Since she is only of one year, she is not able to speak much.
Mr. BURNS – Charles Montgomery Monty Burns famously known as Mr. Burns is the owner of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and is also the boss of Homer Simpson. He can be referred as the villain in the show and because of his popularity he is seen in a number of episodes. The character of Mr. Burns was initially voiced by Christopher Collins, at present his character is voiced by Harry Shearer.
NED FLANDERS- Nedward Flanders Jr is the neighbor of the Simpsons family. He is extremely religious and is a good person. He often seen in the episodes and is portrayed as a good friend of Homer Simpson. The character of Ned Flanders is voiced by Harry Shearer.

The Simpsons is not only a tv show but even a movie was created on this show in 2007. The movie is called Simpsons Movie and was based on the famous tv show The Simpsons. This movie won the award for the best comedy film at the British Comedy Awards and Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award by beating Harry potter the phoenix, Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End and Shrek The Third.
