We, humans are social animals who interact with each other to know more about the people living around us, the problems they are facing, and how they tried to overcome the difficulties and hardships which came in their lives. In this way, we are not only learning something new from others but we are also setting them as a great example in for others and we are gaining inspiration and motivation from them. As we grow up each day, we will set up some goals and would start to dream about that. In order to strengthen our skills, knowledge, and our determination we will follow the person who is most inspiring for our life. He is acting as a role model for our career. Whenever we see him or we just listen his words and his voice, we will get such a strong feeling that we can do anything in our life. So, then only is he THE MOST INSPIRING PERSON IN YOUR LIFE.
Well, like everybody I too have most inspiring person in my life. I used to see him every day and whenever I feel bored or fed up with my life, I used to listen to his words. His words soothe me and also help me to come up with a solution to my problems as he did. Whenever I listen to his words, I become so much motivated that I feel that I can do anything in my life to be very happy. I have never seen such a courageous man in my life who never complaints about his problems, but overcomes them with a lot of determination and faith in God. His life story makes me feel strong.
Well honestly, how many of us are the most successful in our lives? How many of us don’t even have a single problem or tribulation in their life? Well, most of us will say a big ‘NO’. Truly, there is no one in this world who doesn’t have any problems. Difficulties and failures only come in the path of our lives to help us realise our hidden motivational power within us and allow us to express it out to the others around us as to motivate them. So, failures only come into our lives to help us look into ourselves. During our childhood days, we used to dream a lot about what we should become in our lives when we grow up, but now we feel feared to dream because as we grow up, we will realize this practical world. I wanted to be a SAP Consultant since my childhood. Becoming a consultant is not at all an easy job. But if we think so, it will be rather hard only. So, in order to gain confidence and courage to do the things in this challenging world, we will always look at HIM and say “I can do anything in my life”.
The Most Inspiring Person of My Life:
Well, now it’s time to talk about the ‘Most Inspiring Person’ of my life. This person is none other than the great Sandeep Maheshwari, Founder and CEO of Imagebazaar. I am inspired a lot by his speech and the way he struggled by facing his problems and how he succeeded in his life. In today’s competitive business world, we have seen hardly few people working to improve others around them by their life story and success they have attained through their problems. It is because they have faced the challenges of this world and have experienced the taste of success through his defeats. Sandeep Maheshwari is a true inspiring Indian who attained success in very short span of his life, but all his success has been attained only through the problems and failures in his life. His thought “Aasaan Hai” is the most inspiring word that helps us to move forward in our lives. He is the person behind many successful stories.
Early Life and Childhood Education:
Sandeep Maheshwari was born on 28th September 1980, New Delhi, India. He was been graduating in Commerce from Kiori Mal College, Delhi. His father, Roop Kishore Maheshwari, did aluminium business. Sandeep Maheshwari also joined his father’s aluminium business to help him out and to provide food for the family. But later, his business started to suffer huge losses, and he had to close his business shortly after. At that moment, he was still pursuing B.COM 3rd year in Kirori Mal College, Delhi. He dropped out from the college and started to go in the search for a good job. He had to work in several marketing, manufacturing companies to look after his large family and to provide food for them. Later, he decided to make his career in today’s modelling world. He started his modelling career at the age of 19, but soon he realized how much pain and frustration he had to bear in the modelling word. He wanted to change the life of his models, as they were struggling to get into today’s modelling world.
A Turning Point in Life- The Guinness World record:
He then took a two-week course in photography. After a two week course in photography, he purchased a camera worth ₹ 12,000 ($200). With a big fear and a mission in mind, he started port folioing models at very minimal rates in the beginning. Then he had to face another big problem in his life, that is the modelling agencies wanted the photographer to be great and renowned and all the models came to Sandeep Maheshwari asking for his plans, but he didn’t have any answer. He even opened his own company by the name Mash Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd. He along with his friends started the company in 2001 but unfortunately, the company got closed within a year due to some financial problems. But he was not even bothered about his consecutive failures that was having in his life. He wrote book in the marketing domain in a reverse manner, which he was not able to sell hardly even 100 copies. Even after all such consecutive failures that he experienced in his life, he didn’t give up, but with determination and faith in the Everlasting Power, he moved ahead to face his problems. Now, he knew that he has to do something very big to increase his popularity. This time, he had an enormous goal in mind, that is to increase his popularity among modelling agencies and so, he aimed at creating a world record. In 2003, he didn’t even stop, but with determination and faith he completed the task of clicking 10,000 shots of 122 models in just a short time of 10 hours and 45 minutes and created the world record.
Life after achieving the Guinness World record:
Even after achieving the Guinness World records, he again met with another problem. All the expenses needed to break the record was totalling around ₹ 5,00,000 including all the hotel rent and food. It was this time when his real experience came into play. And I should better relate this to one of the Best Quotes of Steve Jobs which is as follows: ‘Our life is like a vallley of dots and you can’t connect them by just looking forward in your life, you will have to connect them by looking backwards in your life. You will have to trust in your life which God Himself has already planned to connect you down the road to give you enough confidence to follow your heart , wherever it leads you to the well-worn path and is what makes all the difference’. He continued his long entrepreneurial journey and founded Imagesbazaar, a stock portfolio company because he had a small setup, he did multitasking. He worked as a photographer, telephone-caller, counsellor etc to run the company; the task seemed innumerable. Many people around the world came to appreciate him for his work in the company. This is simply because of the fact that he solved a very big humungous problem for Companies. Back in the 2007-2008, the companies had to do so much of work to create their advertisements by consulting models, making the agreements plain to them, shooting the videos, editing photos and images and finally giving out their advertisements which would cost them a lot of money and time. He solved this difficult problem and eliminated the need for companies to conduct professional photo shoots for models, thereby, reducing their time and money to a great extent and all these problems were solved by developing Imagesbazaar, an Indian stock photography website which became very special for everyone. He paved his way forward to make his company, Imagesbazaar the World’s Largest Collection of Indian Images. With an over a million images and over 7500 clients over 45 countries, Imagesbazaar became a ₹10.2 crore company ( $1.6 Million) in the year 2010. Imagesbazaar was one of those 753 companies which were competing against each other in India, but with their continued hard work they have achieved #1 rank in term of Indian images. The site is also starting with 3D Photography. Business is also greatly dependent on your optimism, which in this case would not have reached that extent by using that particular local T-Shirt instead of an elite brand and this is what makes Radically Successful Businesses.
Sandeep once said that his most favourite business man is Steve Jobs because he designed the internal circuitry of iPhone in such a way that no one would see, but the company knew that it has done more than what the customers wanted and expected to see. That’s why Steve Jobs is called as a Visionary by everyone. Yes, the guy who used to wear a black hoodie and blue jeans along with a pair of white sports shoes all the time! Well, if we look at any photo of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, we will find that they are wearing their “all the time” dress codes. Why?
