Sports person is a person which is really in need .Without them our society is just incomplete . We known Virat Kholi, Sachin Tendulaker , Sakshi Malik , P.V Sindhu as a legendry sports personality but today I am talking about most legendry & Inspiring sportsman Milkha Singh .Whose life inspire most of us . Milkha Singh was born on 17 oct 1935 in Govindpuram Pakistan . He had a great  intrest in running from his early childhood. He used to run to school which is 10KM away from his house. That’s why he was known as Flying Sikh . When he was 15 years old due to Partition  attack he lost his mother & father both . When his father was lay down voice came from his father ‘BHAG MILKHA BHAG’ which means run Milkha run safely to another destination.

So, he migrated from Pakistan to India . He was so heart broken as he was sentimentally attached to his  parents .Then he decided to earn his living by doing a job in restaurant but he had intrest in running but dur to scarcity of money he was not able to do what he want achieve in his life. So, latter on one of his brother advised him to join army because he had habit of running & passion towards running as he had a habit to run 10 KM per day . Then Milkha Singh tried to join army but rejected 3 times which lead Milkha to dissoptement but latter on he realized that he has potential to do far better . Then the journey  started ….

He ran for 5 hours per day sometimes in rivers, near the hills as he had a great endurance power . He sometimes get tired and wanted  to quit  but somehow he wanted to do so & to achieve something in his life then he never quit back. . Then he was selected to represent India in the 200m &400m race in 1956 in . But he was to raw that time because he had no formal training he had done by his own hard work so, he cant crack nationals that time which make him little sad but the CHARLIES JANKIS gave him knowledge about formal training which enhance its will power to much better next time. Then in year 1958 he again participated in the National games of Calcutta & he set a record for the 200 to 400 m race & got gold medal  & yes he was awarded with Padma Shri award in 1959 which is very good achievement.  in his life as he had faced a lot of struggles in his life & he had not enough money . But he had done that to achieve something in his life & he had proven that it is very well said that

‘ WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY’.  You known Milkha Singh had donated all his medals to nation & it is displayed in the jawal lal nehru ji stadium  in New Delhi . He was such a kind hearted person he supported needy sportsperson who wanted to achieve something in their life. Intrestingly ,on 11 july 2013 his movie had been realesed which describe his whole journey & I personaly liked that & it not only motivates sportsperson but also  gernal people to do whatever you want but you should be focused & I must say he was such a Warrior but it is way to sad to tell that he is no more with us he had died on 18 June 2021 due to COVID- 19 .
