Everything is not Locked Down!

I thought I knew myself, my necessities, and my cravings. I thought I understood people and was a good judge of the atmosphere. But, I’m not!
I was wrong.

It is dumbfounding to study, how some people matter in my life. I, usually lean to get so tied up in ties with my daily work timetables, school routines, and trying to make myself look “good” for others (mostly on social media). As a product, I have snubbed the person who matters to me and who I should upkeep. We are so busy chasing our future that we have disremembered how to live and enjoy the existing.

In the course of lockdown, I was pleasingly stunned to see how little I need to go on judiciously and contentedly with my daily life. Either be household stuff, dresses, gadgets, food supplies, or cosmetics. But some things matter to me further. And yet, I never stop collecting more, more and more. We usually do this because we want to display to the world how the latest, trending, and the up-to-the-minute we are. I made a sensible effort to change my negative pattern. And here is a thing my mom taught me, which is nothing than “kind-heartedness for others”. Today, I see people who are more alarmed about providing food and shelter for stray dogs rather than looking at the consequences of the pandemic situation which is playing in human lives. Note there no slip-up, I am an animal paramour. Although each thing worth our significance today, we must be shielding ourselves and our family members, also we have to spread out a helping hand. But, do donate money wisely. Meanwhile, during the initial days of the pandemic situation, so many people step up to help and offer psychological assistance. It makes me feel that these things have been something which I didn’t pay responsiveness before which is crucial to be concerned about.

Last week I was surprised to receive a notification on WhatsApp.That was a message from my colleague with who I was not in touch for four years. It wished me to re-establish old bonds that had appeared to have attained corrosion. She had texted me to check my condition at this life-threatening juncture. I had always been under the hypothesis that this specific friend had never moderately been a friend, more like a secondary classmate, someone who shaft me since we passed at the same school for a couple of years. And yet, his unexpected message filled me with lots of joy and brought a smile to my face. I realized I have been flawed in my analysis of her. Perhaps she never became a good friend because I never let her. And my reluctance to interact with her shaped my impression of her more than anything she said or did. We swapped a few texts, and extraordinarily, the tension I used to feel in her proximity had vanished, melting away into the virtual wilderness, as we attached for the first time as people, despite being thousands of miles apart.

This experience has categorically changed my outlook on life. I have been in the same home for a couple of months, and it feels as if the world is being smaller and larger at the same time. Maybe it is time to change your viewpoint. If what you have been doing over and over again isn’t not running why not stare into another angel of life. The minute we authorize ourselves to expose up to the possibility of opening ourselves self then the world would react by opening up to us. It has been precisely said that challenging times bring out the greatest in us. The last two months of the pandemic conditions had affected everything, including me. As a result, I have changed into a human being. It has brought about the outstanding in me. I would never have tried if I were breathing in normal living environments. I have snatched that if we don’t take caution of life, life won’t take caution of us. So, the most solid dare of the Covid 19 disaster has brought about the best in me.

“Being born didn’t make me human. My life made me human.”
Everything is not locked down. I felt.
