Chinmaya mission is one of the esteemed institutions of the world. There are about 300 centers worldwide. This big institution formed by Swami Chinmayananda on the year 1951 with its motto as “to give maximum happiness to the maximum number for the maximum time”. It also has many small school institution, hospitals etc.:
I’m excited enough to pen the description of the school institution where am studying. There are about 80 Chinmaya Vidyalaya schools and colleges in India. These schools provide the children CBSE, ICSE and State board education. It has nursery, primary school and secondary schools. The institution owes to provide its student the best education thereby selecting a well-trained, best teacher. Our school has an impressive motto as “keep CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA

I’m excited enough to pen the description of the school institution where am studying. There are about 80 Chinmaya Vidyalaya schools and colleges in India. These schools provide the children CBSE, ICSE and State board education. It has nursery, primary school and secondary schools. The institution owes to provide its student the best education thereby selecting a well-trained, best teachers . Our school has an impressive motto as “keep smiling “and is a school with a difference. This top school has a flag with yellow background symbolizing positive outlook and wisdom in life, and has a gnana mudra and a globe. The gnana mudra represents knowledge of life and the globe says universal outlook. The signature of swami chinmayanada down shows us his presence and blessing. Its divine emblem with a lamp and the Hmsa bird has an eternal powerful meaning in it.
My school is situated at urmarakasalgere in Mandy having greenery all around it. It has an eye-catching and a very beautifully planned infrastructure with the emblem of the institution engraved on the top. It also has a huge parking place which nests all the student transportation busses. It even includes big classrooms with proper ventilation and smart class facility, a very huge playground, play rooms for kids, English labs, computer labs, math labs, science labs, huge auditorium with proper sound system and a spacious library.
Our schools daily schedule starts with the assembly prayer where we take pledge then wish the students celebrating their birthday and at the end sing our National anthem and our State anthem. we also sing our school song “Chinmaya Song” every Friday. Even if any important announcements and even appreciates the students who have won prize in any competition organized by other institution by our teachers during the assembly.
Our school is divided into four groups or houses namely Harriers, Hawks, Eagles and Falcons with a teacher as house mistress and a captain and wise captain who are actually students of class 10 of the same house. All the teachers are divided to these 4 houses and they get different houses each year, these teachers help the students and select the students for participating in the inter house competition which is organized every week except the individual competitions done inside the classroom. The students participate in various completion for their house and win the house with points and get prize and certificate for that during the republic day. Our teachers make sure that every child gets equal chance in participating in the inter house contests. Some of the inter house contests are soft board preparation according to theme (every month), elocution, debate, mono acting, drama, group dance, group singing, solo singing, pick and speak, math magic and many more. At the end of year during republic day the house with maximum points win the shield. By organizing these competitions, they teach us to be polite, humble and not to be pried when we win and not to get depressed but be confident of winning If we lose.
When it comes to teaching staff our school has the best and amazing teachers who teaches everyone in new and innovative way. Our school keep our parents updated about our progress by calling for PTM after every test. They also have a special app where they keep informed about our activities.
Our school not just focus on the academic progress of an individual but also in sports. They reward us with medals if our performance is good. They also give opportunity to those who are good at any sport by selecting them to inter district or inter school sports contests.
Our institution giving everyone equal opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities brings out the hidden talent in an individual, reward us with exiting prize if we win and everyone give a tough competition to get the prize.
Not only for these things but our school gives prize for those who give 100% attendance making children not to take leave, and for academic performance making us study hard.
They also teach us art and craft and organize their competitions too.
Our school not only provide us with academic education but also give us knowledge about spiritual education like yoga and Bhagwat geeta. we practice yoga every week and have bhagwatgeeta classes where we are thought bhajans moral stories and stotras. By this our school brings out the spiritual and positive thinking in us. Our school organizes the Mathru puja where everyone will be taught the values of our parents and to respect them, thus upholding our ancient Indian custom.
Our school conducts many bhagavatgeeta chanting contest and mankuthimmana kagga(kannada’s bhagavatgeeta) chanting contest by teaching the internal meaning of every line. By this we remember our traditions.
We all pray to gidess Sarasvati to give us knowledge when our school swamiji gives us this auspicious opportunity.
Our school remembers all the special days of the mission like the aradhana day, guru Purnima and many more festivals by chanting prayers and pray to god to bless us.
Our school swamiji Swami Adityananda Sarasvati has is presence in every school event and bless everyone for our wellbeing.
Our school upheld the ancient traditions by organizing the folk festival every alternate year where sacred and ancient dance forms are performed like Dollu kunitha, Kolata etc.: they also showcase the ancient instruments and explain about their lifestyle hence making the spectators aware bout their ancestors. And these programs are performed by the students itself. Along with the folk festival our school also organizes science exhibition were each and every student of the school will participate and the best concept in each category will be rewarded. All the students will get the chance to showcase their dancing, sing and speaking talent in front of the city during the Annual day of our school every alternate year.
Our school also give importance to all the national festival like swach bharath mission and world environment day. Every student will clean his or her classroom, school surroundings and nearby village during swach bharath and every year, every section will plant a small sapling during environment day and maintain it by watering. It will be fun to watch the plants grow along with us.
We celebrate both republic day and independence day with great respect and pride to our nation by inviting guest who will hoist our national flag followed by the marchpast competition by students of all 4 houses and this will be judged by the guests who have come.
We also celebrate the kannda rajyotsava and sports day as the Independence day and Republic day.
Our school also conducts student council election where students of class 10 will contest for various posts. And students from class 5-10 will have the voting power.
Our school maintain its premises hygienically by sweeping and mopping twice a day. They also clean the rest rooms after every use.
As the students are from different village and as the school is in the outskirts of the city students are picked up and dropped at their doorsteps by busses with extremely trained drivers and friendly, kind attenders.
Every student will enjoy studying at this institution.
Hence by providing best education, moral values, other skills and sports my school stands first making itself a finest school in the city.
