Brexit is the mix of words come from “British” and “exit “. in 23 June 2016, UK have make decision to leave European union (EU) . Then on April 28, 2021, EU has approved UK provision agreement and finally we can see that Brexit start at Jan 31 2020.
At first, Brexit has to be implemented because the country resident think the benefits of free trade that implemented by EU are not enough to offset the costs of free movement of immigration that start happening in 2015 (many Syrian refugees influx into UK). They afraid the poor country citizens will take their jobs and benefit in their nation. They are also some reasons for example, EU fees charges too expensive in the trade and some of them come out with the opinion that UK paid even more than received from EU. So that we can see before Brexit really start that is a agreement which is called trade and cooperation agreement that contain new policy and rule. This agreement ensures all the EU country and British can still trade the goods without quotas and tariff. Moreover, there are come to a say that Brexit related to some historical issue such as the war with Germany Hitler, Napoleon and henry VII, that indicate UK have been go through many time of referendum and Brexit in past decades.
Besides that, after research we can see that it seems like the negative impact on Brexit is more than positive impact, even though job opportunity has increase, but the economic and business run slow due to many new policies and then many workers choose to move to EU. We can also know that Germany have projected to labour shortage of 3 million skilled worker by 2030 which are not available for the UK worker, which many countries of EU reject to employ UK worker.
Before the final implemented of Brexit in UK, there are many opinions from the UK politician and resident argue whether UK should stay in EU and leave EU issues. If Brexit really happen, UK will get back a lot of sovereignty for example the policy disclosure power and there can allow only a certain number of immigrants to come to UK and help to increase the job available for britain and it is good for young job seeker in UK. They can enact the tax cost on import good and stabilize the price by their own and enhance their product competitiveness. From newspaper research, I even found out they the reason is they did not want to listen to Germany’s order in policy matter this and that kind of answer. Many old grandfather, grandmother and village people almost support to Brexit because that do not get any benefit throughout UK join in the EU. While for those disagree to Brexit, they say it will increase inconvenient as they may need to grant a visa only that they can go to other EU country, transnational business will think it will be very troublesome and costly to conduct business in the UK, which reduce job and new company exist in the UK. Plus, the goods in Europe all will raise up, the competitiveness of export of UK good will absolutely reduce. Scottland will also seek to leave UK if UK really do want to leave EU, that is because only they stay with EU so that Scottland can gain more benefit in free trade.
Same as for the overall country in the world, pound and euro is the most type of money that used in the world, so due to decrease value in pound, there are also severe decrease value in Euro. Also because of Germany and France in EU has more negotiation power in EU, that may be make some country with small power such as Latvia and Cyprus follow UK as a precedent and leave EU if they found any dissatisfied issue matter and conflict with EU. One more bad impact provides which is British may face society divided which in UK there are still around 40 percent people more like to stay with EU and it may be led to the continuous political turmoil in the future.
