Basically the term Aatmanirbhar means that we should be self-reliant. Being self-reliant means that we should rely on our own resources instead of depending on others.
Start of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign
Our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi while addressing to the citizens of India on 12 May, 2020 called for achieving self-reliance which would enable our country to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. He said, “The present pandemic, COVID-19, has once again brought to the forefront with our commitment to address challenges of life with thrust on our own capabilities and abilities.” To support his statement, he said, “when the COVID-19 outbreak started India did not manufacture any PPE kits, but today India has the capacity to manufacture two lakh PPE kits and two lakh N95 masks.”
The Vocal for Local campaign- a significant step towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat
The Prime Minister started a campaign under the name, “Vocal for Local”. The main objective of campaign is to promote the local manufacturers of our country. We should increase the use of the goods which are “Made in India”. PM Narendra Modi said we Indians need to be vocal about local and should buy products from local suppliers. Today we have the resources, power and best talent in the world. In times of crisis, the local suppliers have fulfilled our demand and the locals have saved us.
Local is not just the need, it is our responsibility also. Time has taught us that we must make the Local as a mantra of our life. The Global Brands you feel today were sometimes also very local like this. But when people started using them, started promoting them, branding them, became proud of them, they became Global from Local Products. Therefore, every citizen of India should promote the local sellers so that one day, they can also become global brands from locals. This can only be done through strong determination and unity of 130cr Indians. If we work together to improve the quality of products, modernize the supply chain, then one day, definitely our country will develop and will become self-reliant ( Aatmanirbhar ).
Ek Bharat Shresta Bharat- Unity in Diversity
There is no country in the world which is as diverse and as multi-lingual as India. The people of India are bound together by the ancient bounds of shared traditions, culture and values. This diversity of our country can lead us to think in a more creative and innovative way. It is rightly said that Diversity is the Mother of Creativity i.e. one of the most necessary ingredient of creative thinking is diversity. We all know that India has the potential to convert crisis into opportunity. If we all together think innovatively than definitely, one day, our country will become Aatmanirbharand will not depend on others. Link between Innovation and Diversity
When people from diverse places and having diverse ideas get united and work together for a single goal then their chance of achieving the goal increases as they can generate a wider range of original and useful ideas. People from different cultural backgrounds are naturally better able to draw on different ideas and come up with unique solutions to solve a difficulty. They can work in a more innovative way through their diverse ideas. A world without colors, textures and flavors is like a world without inspiration and beauty. Similarly, Diversity of thoughts creates those colors, textures and flavors which create profitability through creativity and innovation. Diversity plays an important role in country’s innovativeness. Diversity and innovation together contribute significantly in the country’s development.
Innovation and Diversity – Important to become Aatmanirbhar
Progress is the key to reach the goal of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Progress depends heavily on innovation and diversity. Honorable Home Minister of India Shri Amit Shah said that if 130cr strong India is determined then anything is possible, may it be defeating Corona virus or making India Aatmanirbhar. A diverse team produces more creative and innovative results in comparison to a team in which members are from similar background and having similar thoughts.
Conclusion- Innovation through Unity in Diversity Innovation in a country brings inflow of funds in the country. Diversity of a country helps in innovation at a great extent.
