To,
The love I had to let go,
No matter what corner of the world we belong to, letting go of someone we love, leaves us tormented and shattered.
Eventually, over the years we try to gather our broken pieces and build ourselves again. Only to realize that this infinite loop of loving and letting go has bonded us in the very fabric of our cosmos.
I don’t quite understand the art of letting go of people you love. Meanwhile, the pain is unbearable when you catch a glimpse of their body resting in the shadows that were once yours.
It feels like the heart longs to breathe in air, but somehow it forgets the rhythm of its beat.
Just as drowning, it feels peaceful, even though you know inside you are dying.
It’s not easy and it never will be
But just so that you know
It gets a bit bearable on an autumn’s eve. The season marking the fall with the essence of beauty.
To me, it’s a reminder,
for letting go of you and a part of me too.
