The 21st century, with all its science and technology, allows us to go to Mars and develop Artificial Intelligence. Yet, one virus brings us to a complete standstill in a few weeks? Do you think there should be changes in priorities for science and research in the future?
Development in our surroundings and a lot of changes in people’s minds has occurred over the years and this mainly led to the enhancement of the world we live in right now. People from the past discovered various entities that made our lives easier and plays a very effective role in our present lives. And people have used it for various purposes like in the medical field, technology, and other science fields. Basically, for building a better future. This was in the minds of the well-known discoverers and inventors, which now influences the present generation.
Science, in technology, has evolved from the first-ever telescope made in 1608 using eyeglass maker to capturing the first-ever image of the black hole and also developing artificial intelligence to make people’s lives more comfortable. And at the same time, there were also numerous discoveries and researches made in medicines, environment, food, etc. People all over the world try to maintain all kinds of fields equally. Because it would be an injustice to nature as well as the process of time to not give importance to others.
The world keeps changes every single day (or minute), and there are scientists or people who do plenty of researches and make incredible things. Considering, the 21st century, people, and especially youths who have visions to create changes in the future, have the most comfortable and easiest source of information they need, credit goes to the technological department. This gives them the opportunity to study and discover things they could do, which people in the past couldn’t. It could also mentally make people ready to face the future and also have better information by connecting the past and present.
As time goes by, according to my observation, science could be very un-predicting and beyond what we even think now. Just by taking the example of the coronavirus, this took over the whole world within few weeks and spreading overnight in various countries, creating a whole new pandemic and systems which we never thought we would face at the beginning of the year. This could mostly be because of the changes in the planet or nature. In times like this, it is more important to give focus on finding the right vaccine for treatment because it is about saving the people, and the people are the ones that take everything to another level! As we know that the doctors have been the most hardworking (& busy) people since this whole situation.
Every field or stream of science could be space, technology, medicine, etc. are interconnected. All we have to do is research, plan, and discover. As a human being, I think it is very important to not destroy our nature and surrounding while making a convenient and potential use out of it. Also, connecting resources and science can give us many benefits. A very good example is how the scientists of India launched the mars orbital mission to explore and observe Mars’s surface features, mineralogy, and the Martian atmosphere by using the spacecraft to scan and give us an outlook of everything on mars which could be studied and used for other purposes. And another example is by using artificial intelligence, which mainly involves machines and robots performing functions and activities to make our lives easier, it could also be a major application in the medical field, in scanning, testing, etc. Thus, all fields of science give us many advantages for the progress of the world by working on all of them all at the same time.
And finally, as an outline, my idea of science and the future is to link different domains of science by giving priority and importance to every one of them with maintaining and balancing them equally and mutually helping each other. And thus, we can deal with the changing world!
