Many people know about the Shikshamitra it was set up in April 2005 and it is an experimental school with a resource center mainly for middle school education. As it is the school of experiments that makes education more interactive with fun and effectiveness and with that they reduce the burden on the students. The teachers of the school tried to show the things with multiple props or with different items to show the examples which will work as an experiment so that students can learn in a better way. The Education Resource Centre i.e. ERC at Shikshamitra is well equipped with a wide range of teaching resources and it offers a service which is targeted at networking among the teachers, researchers, supervisor, media persons, educationist, and use of government policymakers, and academics. The Shikshamitra has a good stock of education library which process the books, films, songs, TLM, and reports.
The teacher or student training workshops are offered to them regularly with emphasis on developing the skills and innovative method of teaching. The Education Resource Centre provides links to other innovative teachers’ education and schools to connect with the teachers association research bodies at state and national levels so they can make their teaching skills more effective and interactive. The UP Shiksha Mitra is in the limelight because they have become a witness of too many ups and downs in the last 19 years. The teachers were associated with the shikshamitra, they have seen a lot of things in the last 19 years but still, they are trying to make themselves better and provide the interactive teaching experience to the students so they can do better things in their life and make a change in the world.
As everyone knows that in Uttar Pradesh the education system is different from the different states but in the UP, the discussion of the basic education of the teacher requesting recruitment cannot be complete without the teachers. In the last 19 years, there were more than 1.5 Lakh Shikshamitra teaching in more than 1 lakh 13 thousand primary schools of the state and they were struggling for appointment to the post of Assistant Teacher. Recently the Supreme Court has ordered to vacate 37339 posts in 69000 recruits, but the state of UP government is facing the shortage of teachers and happily implemented ShikshaMitra Yojana to achieve the goal of universalization of education.
